Stuff the Bus

The Family Resource Center at the United Way of Blair County is proud to announce its sixth annual “Stuff the Bus” school supply campaign. School supplies collected will benefit students in Blair County school districts and early learning programs. Stuff the Bus is a community-wide effort to collect items needed for students to succeed in school. Local businesses, agencies, clubs, and churches conduct in-house collections by their employees or members or act as donation sites for the community. Last year, through generous donations of supplies, Blair County helped 754 preschool and school age children, who otherwise may not have been able to afford materials, go to school with the items to succeed.

Donations of supplies will be accepted from June 23 to July 30. On July 31, volunteers from the Family Resource Center and United Way will pick up items at the various locations. Volunteers will sort the items for distribution and the distribution will be on August 7 at the United Way. Parents and area agencies may register children beginning July 1 by calling Denise Adams, Stuff the Bus Coordinator, at the United Way of Blair County, 814-944-0884, ext. 304.
