Our Work

United Way of Blair County has taken the lead on programs that will help advance the common good. Our vision is bold. We want to make lasting changes here in Blair County. We envision a community where all residents have access to the building blocks of a good life: an excellent education, good physical and mental health, an income sufficient to support a family, and a safety net in times of emergencies.  We raise money and target funding to programs that address locally identified needs.  We spearhead volunteer efforts that help to address these initiatives and develop a strong community.  We encourage individuals to raise their voices and champion the causes they support. We operate programs like the Family Resource Center, Stuff the Bus, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), Toasty Toddler and The Glass Slipper Project Prom Gown Distribution to help local people.
